STUDENT NEWS:

  • Congratulations to today’s trivia winner Anna Sump!  Come to the office during lunch to collect your prize. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had the longest losing streak in the NFL. Today’s trivia question: What mammal is the fastest?
  • 8th graders, don’t forget that Southwest’s OPEN HOUSE will be TOMORROW NIGHT, Wednesday, January 16th at 6:30 PM.  If you are planning to enroll in Southwest as a freshman, please try to attend.  See Mrs. Dowding in B-4 for more information.
  • Students and staff:  Have a book you’d like to read but the library doesn’t have it? Come to the media center and write down what book you are interested in.  We’ll try to add it to the collection.

STUDENT NEWS:

  • Congratulations to today’s trivia winner Natalie Rainer!  Come to the office during lunch to collect your prize. Sean Connery and Roger Moore have portrayed James Bond, Agent 007, in seven movies each. Today’s trivia question: The longest losing streak in the NFL is 26 straight games set in 1976 and part of the 1977 season.  What team set that record?
  • There will be be no snacks for 6th graders for three days.
  • 8th graders, If you are planning to attend North Star next year, you are invited to attend TONIGHT’S North Star OPEN HOUSE at 7 PM.  For those planning on attending South West next year, South West’s OPEN HOUSE is scheduled for Wednesday, January 16th at 6:30 PM.  See Mrs. Dowding in the Counseling office for more information.

STUDENT NEWS:

  • No one got the correct answer to yesterday’s trivia question.  Since there are 8 pints in one gallon, there would be 16 pints in two gallons. Today’s trivia question: To date, there have been 8 different actors who have played James Bond, Agent 007, in movies.  Two of these actors have played Bond in seven movies.  Name one of the actors.
  • 8th graders, North Star will be hosting an OPEN HOUSE on Monday, January 14th at 7pm.  If you are planning to enroll at North Star, please try to attend.  See Mrs. Dowding in the counseling office for more information.

  • 1st semester flew by…don’t let 2nd semester end before you get your yearbook.  Tomorrow during lunch you can reserve your copy for $17.
  • 8th graders, Lincoln High School will be hosting an OPEN HOUSE for students and families TONIGHT at 7pm.  All 8th Graders and their family members are invited to attend to learn about Lincoln High and get information about attending high school.  See Mrs. Dowding in the counseling office for more information.

STUDENT NEWS:

  • Lefler trivia is back!  Today’s trivia question:  Two of our Presidents of the United States stood 6’4” and are tied for being the tallest Presidents of the U.S. Name one of them.
  • Student Council’s first meeting of the semester will be today after school from 3:15-4:00.  Students interested in joining can come to Room B-35.  Student Council is opened to 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.  Please see Miss Pauley in Room B-34 if you have questions.
  • Musical Cast:  Rehearsals will resume on today.  Check your schedule and be on time to your rehearsal.  Time is running short!  Your lines should be memorized!
