LUNCH TODAY:  FISH NUGGETS, FISH STRIPS AND POPCORN SHRIMP, COUNTRY BEEF PATTIE SANDWICH, MEATBALL SUB

STUDENT NEWS:

• No one got the correct answer to yesterday’s trivia question.  The “ZIP” in ZIP Code stands for Zone Improvement Program.  Today’s trivia question: Like Nebraska, how many states in the U.S. end with the letter A (hint: also count states with two word names like South Dakota)?
• 6th, 7^th, and 8^th grade wrestling practice starts February 25^th.  Sign-up sheets are in the gym.
• Any students interested in participating in the LPS Science Fair need to get a registration form from their science teacher and return it to them as soon as possible.  A parent and teacher signature is required.  The registration deadline is March 1.
• The Humane Society is accepting donations at this time.  If you would like to contribute something, there is a list of items located on the bulletin board by the office.   Please bring your donation to the office.  Thank you!

• Congratulations to all who ran the PACER last week.  Here are the results for the PACER Challenge by grade level.

3^rd Place:  8^th grade total is 5,268 laps; 2^nd Place:  7^th grade total is 5,499 laps; and 1^st Place:  6^th gr. leading with 6,069 laps.

We also have a new school record for 6^th grade girls.  This goes to Cassie Nash with 81 laps!
