Attention 8th Graders: High School Information Nights begin this week! There are signs in 8th grade hallway and the dates are also posted in your Class of 2028 google classroom. All events start at 6:30 and are held at the high schools. Tonight will be Standing Bear. Reminder that high school choice forms are due on January 31st!


“Future Knight Night” will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Lincoln Southeast during the 5:45pm Varsity GBB/JV BBB games and 7:30pm Varsity BBB/JV GBB games vs. Lincoln High. Flyers are in the office.


Latino Leaders will start again on Jan. 25th.
Latina Leaders will start again on February 1st

The Informational meeting will be January 10th for those who want more information on the program. Sessions then begin on Jan. 13th. These will be held at Southeast High School. Meet other people who share your interests! See any English teacher for more information. All 6th, 7th and 8th grade students are welcome, regardless of skill

The counseling center has received an incredibly generous COAT donation from Eastridge Church. So, if you need a coat for winter break, please come see us in the counseling center! Also, even if you don’t need a coat, please stop outside the cafeteria during lunch to sign a thank you note to Eastridge, on behalf of our school. Thanks for keeping us warm, Eastridge Church!

Today is National Cocoa Day! The health benefits of drinking hot cocoa abound. Cocoa contains significant amounts of antioxidants that may help prevent cancer. They have also shown that the cocoa bean helps with digestion. The flavonoids found in cocoa also have a positive effect on arterial health. What better way to warm up after a cold day outside?
