STUDENT NEWS:
- Detasseling information is now in the counselor’s office. You MUST be at least 13 years old by this July! Meetings will take place in April and May.
- Backpack Walk donations are being collected by grade in the Media Center. Please bring any donations during your lunch period. Donations will be collected until April 24th. If you choose to bring a large donation, please see Mrs. Marsh in the Health Office. For those students wanting to participate in the walk, it will be held at East High School on Saturday,April 27th. Activities will begin at 9:15am with music and free beverages. The one-mile walk begins inside the South gym at 10:00am. The grade collecting the highest donation will receive popcorn sometime in May.
- Student Council needs your help with providing help to Nebraska residents affected by the recent flooding. Now through April 12, Student Council will be hosting a Nebraska Flood Relief Drive. Drop off any monetary donations at lunch in the donation jar (a 50 cents minimum is desired). If you would prefer to provide needed items such as cleaning supplies, hygiene supplies, or packages of bottled water, please drop off those items in Room 227 (see posted lists for needed items). For every $100 raised, students will earn a Spirit Day in late April or early May (a maximum of five days). If we reach our goal of $1,000, popcorn will be provided for the whole school! We are so excited to show eastern Nebraska that Lefler is Nebraska Strong!
- End of Year criteria: Criteria-April 29-May 22; No ISS or OSS; Goal Sheets 50% of their days passing; OCM-No more than 3.
