STUDENT NEWS:
- Today, across the United States, Veterans Day is celebrated. Veterans Day pays tribute to all American veterans–living or dead–but especially gives thanks to living veterans who served their country honorably during war or peacetime. At Lefler we have several staff members who served in the armed forces and we want to make sure an honor them today.
- Craft club meets today. Come work on a cool string art project. Be in the FCS room at 3:05 to get started.
- Beginning today, Student Council will be raising money to go towards Thanksgiving meal items for the People City Mission. Students and staff can drop off pennies and paper bills such as $1, $5, or $10 to earn positive points for their grade. Students and staff can make other grades lose points by putting nickels, dimes, and quarters in the other grades’ jars. The winning grade at the end of the contest will receive a special prize to be announced later.
- 8th graders, if you want to go see the Harriet Tubman movie, remember to bring your $6 and give it to your Social Studies teacher.
- If school pictures were purchased on Picture Day and you would like to do re-takes, you must bring in the old school pictures.
