- Tonight is the finals for the Geography Bee. All students who are competing need to be in the cafeteria by 3:10. See Ms. Boswell if you have any questions.
- Musical cast – Please check your rehearsal schedule very carefully! We have been missing many of you at rehearsals and it is making it very difficult to get our show prepared properly. See you are rehearsal tonight!
- Do you think you can beat your mom or dad at making free throws? You can find out on Monday, November 19th at our Lefler Family Open Gym Night from 6:30 to 8:00. You must have an adult family member with you in order to attend. Enter though door #9 by the recess area. See you there!
- Congratulations to this week’s Fine Dining winners: 6th grade, Ava Johns and Brooklyn Holbert; 7th grade, Aidan Alvarez and Jenna Smith; and 8th grade, Glenn McChristian and Becca Rice! Please see Ms. Candace in the front office today during your lunch.
- A quick Homework Zone reminder…. All students are welcome to come to Homework Zone after school. Homework Zone is meant to be a quiet place for students to work on homework. Playing games on your chrome book is not allowed, but homework, personal reading, drawing, or other constructive activities that are not disruptive to others are OK. Thanks for your help keeping homework zone a quiet place for students to work.
- Students, today, Wednesday and Thursday this week, all who eat school breakfast will be able to get a smoothie sip and a chance to enter their name into a drawing for prizes. Each day 5 students will be drawn for the grade level with smoothies. Today is 6th grade, Wednesday is 7th Grade and Thursday is 8th grade. You must purchase a school breakfast and drink your smoothie sip in the breakfast area. Check out the list of winners in the cafeteria each day! Enjoy!
- Nutrition Services Announcement: As our new computer system gets underway, we ask for your patience and cooperation through the breakfast and lunch lines. Lines may be moving slower as cashiers familiarize themselves to the new process. Please help us by being quiet, ready to do your part and waiting until the cashier lets you know you are “good to go”!
- Attention basketball players! Lefler basketball t-shirt’s are available for $11. See Mr. Pappas for an order form. Order forms are due Nov. 16.
- Only a few more days to contribute to your grade’s team in the Penny Wars! Student Council will be collecting money this week to help purchase Thanksgiving meals for families in the Lincoln community. To win, put pennies or paper bills such as $1, $5, or $10 in your grade team’s jar to earn positive points. Place nickels, dimes, and quarters in your opponent’s jar to make them earn negative points. Winners will be announced next Monday. The winning teams for each grade will receive a Hat and Slipper Day on Tuesday, November 27, and the one team that brings in the most money overall will earn a sweet treat provided by Student Council. This competition will go through this Friday, so be sure to gather up all of that loose change and bring it in to help your team win the Penny Wars!
- There is one week left to order your Lefler clothing items from the online store. All orders must be placed by next Monday, November 19 before midnight. Please pick up an informational flyer in the main office or see Miss Pauley in Room 227 if you have any questions about ordering or need a paper order form.
