 STUDENT NEWS:

  • Congratulations once again to this week’s Fine Dining winners: 7th grader, Pat McBride and 8th graders, Skylar Bad Moccasin and Tristan Amos! Please stop by the front office today during your lunch and see Ms. Candace.
  • Please join us for Roads, Rails, and Racecars Mondays after school, from 3:00-4:00 in room 129.
  • Lincoln High Student Council members will be at Lefler after school on Monday, April 23 to talk with any 8th grade student who is interested in applying for Student Council at Lincoln High.  The meeting will be held in the media center in room 101B.  Please see Miss Pauley if you have any questions.
  • All student ambassadors will meet this PLC day 3rd period in the cafeteria.  Please bring your chromebook!
  • Lincoln High audition information for their swing choir Momentum has arrived.  Any 8th grade student interested in becoming involved either as a singer or roadie or part of the band should see Mrs. Oltman for information this week!  Dance rehearsals begin next week!
  • “Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.”  This is a quote by Leo Buscaglia.  Did you know something as small as lending someone a pencil for class, smiling at someone who may look sad, or simply asking someone how their day is going can make someone feel so wonderful?  Think about how you can go the extra mile to possibly turn someone’s life around.  Don’t forget, students and staff may go to the Media Center during lunch today and tomorrow to write down on their grade’s designated poster what they love about being a Lefler Lion.  These posters will be displayed later next week so we can see what kind, wonderful remarks everyone has about Lefler.  Remember this week’s motto: In a world where you can be anything, be kind.
  • Today is the first round of the Lefler Kindness Fun Run/Walk as part of the Lefler Kindness Awareness Week.  At the end of the run/walk, students will be able to tie a blue or gold ribbon on the fence along the 48th Street parking lot to signify standing for kindness if they choose to do so. The run/walk scheduled for Wed. has been moved to Friday due to the wind and cold temperatures. Also Mrs. Marsh will be giving students five Pawsitive tickets for every dollar donated to the BackPack walk fundraiser today, Friday and Monday.  So if you donate $2, you will receive 10 Pawsitive tickets.
