The word for today is a fungi (not a fun guy) that grows wild in Nebraska. The word is “morel.” When the leaves on oak trees are the size of a squirrel’s ears, look for morels growing under elm, ash, maple, or fruit trees. Morels are an exotic-looking mushroom with amazing flavor. The word for today is “morel.”
