• Today is an X day!
• We were not able to win the one-day vocabulary Bowl challenge for Nebraska. We came in second place. The winning school was Marian High School in Omaha. Thanks to all who helped us earn second place! The vocabulary bowl word of the day is “persistence. ” Go to Vocabulary.com each day to answer questions. Your persistence will make your vocabulary grow.
• Any student interested in participating in the all school musical must have a parent sign the Lefler Musical permission form that you can pick up from Mrs. Oltman AND the Middle School Activity Consent form located under Lefler Athletic Program on the Lefler website. Auditions will be on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this week with rehearsals beginning on Monday, January 25. Forms must be completed BEFORE auditioning. See Mrs. Oltman with any questions. (Because of the snow day last Friday – auditions have been extended 1 day to accommodate students getting their permission forms signed.)
• Have you seen all the new Lefler Lions clothing your classmates and staff have been wearing this past week? Wish you could have some as well? Great news: the Lefler Apparel Store has reopened! The online store will be open through February 2. If you are interested in ordering, swing by the main office to pick up a flyer that will have details on how to order or see Miss Pauley in Room 227.
• The following 8th graders who submitted their high school readiness google form to Ms. Sturek are the drawing winners: Kade Fiedler, Addy Wallace, Matthew Bradley, Mariah Blakely, Izzy Petty, Emily Bender, Alyssa Beetem, Avianna Vinson, Maggie Gordon, Izzy Zoucha, and Kylee Rathjen. Stop by Ms. Sturek’s office during lunch today and choose your prize!
