The Teammates program matches a community volunteer to serve as a
one-to-one role model, friend, coach, or guide. The Teammate meets with
the student for one hour per week during the school day. Teammates
provide academic support, career planning, help with problem solving and
goal setting as well as time management.
Lefler currently has 13 active Teammates in and out of our building each
week. We have four additional Teammates we are pairing with students
this quarter. Students and Teammates alike have overwhelmingly reported
on the benefits of the program! If you are interested in learning more
about Teammates, talk to your grade level counselor!
