Lefler offers Keyboarding to 6th and 8th graders and 8th Grade Business class. Below are description of each of the classes.
6th Keyboarding: (12 weeks)
Students develop touch-typing skills and practice correct technique while
learning basic computer operation.   Emphasis is placed on developing touch
control of the keyboard, improving speed and accuracy rates, and learning
basic word processing skills.

8th Grade Keyboarding: (18 weeks)
Every student needs to build proficient computer keyboarding skills for
personal, academic and employment use.  This class provides opportunities
for students to learn and improve touch typing skills and techniques and
build speed, accuracy, and confidence.  Students are expected to
consistently keyboard at a proficient rate, develop writing composition
skills at the computer, and apply formatting and word processing skills.

8th Grade Business:

Students will learn to earn, budget, and save their money to reach their
personal goals.  They will learn basic economics; explore career
opportunities, and even how to start their own business!  The course includes an ending project where students will organize, manage, and market a product or service in their school or community.
